CALL FOR ACTION

Each One Reach One

TB is curable and the biggest stumbling blocks to eradicating TB are Ignorance, Timely Diagnosis and Proper Treatment.

TB is one disease where each one of us can make a difference.

1. Create Awareness

The most important role that you as an individual can play is to create awareness. We all know someone or the other who is affected by this disease.

There are so many misconceptions and stigmas attached to this disease that although it is completely curable, several millions die every year.

By helping to spread Awareness of the fact that it is curable and by helping remove the prejudices that exist in the minds of the relatives, friends and society at large about a TB infected patient, we can go a long way in doing away with this modern version of Plague.

2. Ensuring Timely Diagnosis & Prevention

Another reason for the spread of this disease is that its detection is delayed and the infected patient can infect 10 to 15 others before his or her treatment starts.

Becoming aware of the symptoms of the disease, promoting Vaccination against the disease and providing timely diagnosis are other ways to help check the spread of the disease.

3. Proper Treatment

The correct treatment and treatment for the proper duration are necessary to make the patient TB free. In majority of the cases, patients stop mid-way as the symptoms disappear or due to other reasons like inadequate availability of medicines, poverty, ignorance and lack of support and guidance.
